My degree is a BSc in social sciences, and I got my TEFL certificate in 1998 from an actual language centre. I have over 20 years' experience teaching people from many different countries. I've taught in Thailand, Vietnam, and Bulgaria, and online since 2019. I prefer higher level English, ranging from pre-intermediate up to expert level. I also do proofreading, so I know lots of the fine details that most people are not aware of.

I create my own slides and presentations instead of just putting a PDF on the screen. Every lesson should have something funny in it; even if I don't plan it, something always turns up. I don't aim for formal lessons, it's better when teacher and student are relaxed because it makes learning more effective. All lessons are put together for the individual student, there is no one-size-fits-all approach from me. The format of each lesson will vary depending on how you like to learn, the subject in hand, and several other factors. Sometimes students want lessons done in a specific way and I am happy to oblige.
