I don't have a specific format because every student is different and they have different requirements. What I do is ask the students in the first lesson what method of learning they are most comfortable with and then take it from there. Through my teaching experience, I learned that students feel more comfortable and eager to learn if the tutor takes their preferences into account instead of using a standard teaching method which may or may not work for them. I don't only rely on lectures alone but also give out worksheets and exercises for extra practice and use mixed media which may be in the form of videos, audio, presentations, and articles. Such a variety saves the lessons from getting dull!
