My lessons will aim to help you improve your writing skills or achieve high success in your social sciences classes. I have a PhD in a degree in social anthropology, and have publications in press with academic journals. As well, I have graded essays at the university level, making me well suited to teach students how to drastically improve their academic writing. So, during my long university career I've developed the skills necessary to write high quality texts in academic English, and have proficient knowledge about the social sciences.

Our lessons on writing would work through an early draft provided in advance by the student. We would go through, sentence-by-sentence, discussing grammatical errors, formatting/citation styles, word choice, and writing presentation. These lessons would not merely be focused on patching up the essay in question, but building up my students skills so they can work towards becoming excellent and independent writers.

Further, for students seeking support in the social sciences I will help them read through difficult academic texts and find its key points and arguments. During those lessons I can also assist students with getting started on writing their course essays.

As someone who started their university career struggling with academic writing I have first hand experience with how difficult it can be. For this reason I will be understanding of student's difficulties. This will result in me not only being sensitive and encouraging in my lessons, but also provides me the capacity to easily identify which issues students need support with.
