Hey I’m Nathan :) I am a second year university student studying an integrated masters degree in Biological sciences at the University of Liverpool. A lesson from me would aim to be as relaxed as possible, whatever topic you are struggling with we can go through in detail but at your pace. I personally never enjoyed school and how they taught topics which is why I learnt to teach myself. I aim to be able to help but in the simplest and easiest way to understand possible. You can provide me with the topic in question you might be struggling with or need just a little further help with. I can then try to explain the topic through examples and analogies to try and help you gain that initial understanding. Once you start to gain more confidence we can move on to questions to test your knowledge, you wouldn’t be expected to get the questions right though. Learning through failure is key to actually understanding a topic, as you can see where you may have misunderstood. This can be repeated for as many individual topics as needed and any help needed I can provide along the way. The whole concept of learning shouldn’t have to feel like a chore, you should feel comfortable and treat it as more of a friend to friend conversation that is going to help in the long run :). Especially in biology a lot of the topics are more interesting than they are made out to be in a common school-based environment, so I hope I can introduce you to the interesting and fun side of the subject :).
