I am flexible regarding the topic of the lesson. I have the most experience tutoring British and American History, however I am also happy tutoring European and Middle Eastern history.

My lessons will be based mostly on exam technique. I will present an array of key themes and common exam questions. I will then work through said questions, helping the pupil to understand the tools and techniques necessary to achieve full marks. I will not focus heavily on content - this will be often be assumed knowledge for the sake of my sessions. I have found in my experience that what most history students find most difficult is not the content itself, but rather applying it to a particular question.

My lessons will be online, unless extenuating circumstances require in-person sessions. I am mostly flexible on the time of the session, however evening is best.

I have some notable experience in tutoring. I have tutored history in an informal, unpaid capacity for a number of years. I have done paid maths tutoring for 2 years, with sessions both in person and online. I have also carried out a small number of online seminars, going through past papers and answering virtual questions.
