Teaching ESL is something I began many years ago whilst in Thailand. During which I taught kindergarten students for a school year. Since then I began my online career and have been teaching a mixture of adults and children.

I find using a variety of tools such as visuals and conversation, fantastic ways to engage with students and bring out the best in them.

Whilst I have lessons planned in advance, I like to see how these lessons fit to each individual and if necessary I adapt these to suit my students.

As a tutor I understand the importance of ensuring my students are giving ample talking time, however I’m also aware students may be shy and struggle at times. Therefore I am prepared to use skills to draw out conversation.

I will ensure students leave the lesson feeling they have learnt something, even if we have not covered the entire lesson planned. As long as conversation is had, this is fantastic experience in using English.

Learning should be fun and engaging, which is what I aim for in each of my lessons. If you have any particular requests for lessons I am happy to consider these and adapt my lesson plans as necessary.
