I use PowerPoints in order to teach the information and teach the student how to condense it in a tangible way aswell as to create anki flash cards for active recall of information as geography is extremely content heavy as a subject it is important to remember the information.
I would then practice formatting of questions such as PECL or PEEL as more students know. As this provides a basis for the students to answer the question e.g in a 20 marker 6 marker or 9 marker.
I would focus on what the student finds the most difficult and move into that more and find out ways we can combat the issue.
Aswell as looking for a way the student best learns information so the learning style is more suited to them e.g audibly, visibly.
In my experience I have found that consistent and constant practice and active recall of information allows me to remember information and in exam conditions visualise the answer as if I’m being asked with a flash card and so leads to a more efficient answer.
