I have over a decade of experience designing for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and restaurants, automotive, real estate, and FinTech corporations. I make sure the work is dynamic and provide a lot of real-life lessons and content to help you better understand not only the material and technical skills of graphic design, but also work place expectations so you not only get hired, but are able to keep your job.
I have my own design business, Natalia Tortora Design, I am a Special Lecturer at Oakland University just outside of Detroit, Michigan, and am the sole graphic designer at an EV start-up called Slate.
My strongest skills are building brands and logos for corporate identity, generating 360 campaigns and advertisements, working with architects and interior designers for built environments, and my ability to collaborate and mentor lower level peers. In my career, I am a self-starter and am always looking to improve my work process by utilizing the most up-to-date features on the Adobe Creative Suite programs, where I focus on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
My goal is to help you gain a better understanding of not only graphic design, but the general principles of design that can apply to many more things in the creative field. With this also comes learning the creative process, which will help you become more successful in your careers when it comes to working with your future team and clients. I use primarily Microsoft Powerpoint and Youtube tutorials to create a more engaging learning environment, especially in a remote setting.
I look forward to helping you grow and seeing how much you can develop in the field of design!
