I will use mistakes as an opportunity rather than a flaw, and I will praise even the slightest sign of progress. The lessons will be proactive and fun, very engaging and memorable. As well as having fun, there will be more focused and independent work, as this will help them master independence as well as team work, which are both very important and rewarding skills.
I personally find that the pomodoro method helps myself, and other people I know, to study efficiently. It is a method where you work for 25 minutes, and have a 5 minute break, and repeat. This is very useful in helping our brains retain information.

I am patient and friendly :) and will always offer a small break if I see that a student is stressed or overwhelmed. I will constantly speak words of affirmation and possibly buy some rewards, for example stickers. I aspire to make my students proud of themselves and feel like they can accomplish anything. I have experience with children because of my work as a tutor at Explore Learning and because of my little sister, who I help with reading and homework.

I am an active listener and would love to get to know my students, i.e. pets, siblings or hobbies. I would love for the student to think of me as a helpful friend rather than a scary teacher. I highly value education because I think knowledge is power.
