I am a community tutor, meaning that I do not have any certification to teach. However, I feel a strong passion for teaching and passing my knowledge/skills forward. My first language is Spanish meaning that I will feel very secure and comfortable when teaching you this beautiful language so that you can learn it feeling as comfortable as I do. I love teaching all group ages, as in the past I’ve had the opportunity to informally mentor children and adults. Personally, implementing different methods of teaching is my preferred choice when talking about children or even teenagers, teaching with a variety of methods such as music, personalised reading that focus on the areas of interest of the student, and games. By applying all these methods the student is less likely to lose motivation and achieve a good level of understanding of the language in a relatively small amount of time. In terms of adults, I have noticed that their brain processes information differently, and although they also need to keep up the motivation, the best way of learning I have seen in the past is from repetition. As your tutor I like to have good communication with the students and learn about their preferred learning method. I will try to focus on your learning pace and adapt to it without rushing or slowing you down, so you can make the most out of our lessons.
