Hi!
My name is Nasima Mahdi, but you can call me Nas. I offer a range of lessons to children of all ages, dependent on their curriculum.
I’m a younger face, which I consider a serious benefit when interacting with younger people. I have found that children engage more when they can relate to their teacher, which is something that I bring to the table.
I have a lot of patience, so have no trouble taking on children with ADHD, autism, and other behavioural disorders. I have plenty of experience dealing with these issues, having grown up with and around them, as well as having been a carer for an autistic family member.
I have a passion for English literature, and have studied Shakespeare under GCSE curriculum before, so I have an excellent understanding of how it works. I also have excellent English Language skills and am a firm believer in language as the foundation for all skills.
I’m a university student at SOAS University of London, meaning that I am able to be consistent with our sessions at the same time as being extremely flexible. In addition, I am of mixed descent, being half English and half Algerian, making it easy to communicate with children and parents more proficient in Arabic, as well as lending me an understanding of living in the UK when you are not fully or partially British.
Please contact me with details of your child’s age, curriculum, what they struggle with, and details of any behavioural disorders or anything else I should be aware of before tutoring your child.
I am excited to work with a range of new students, and to liaise with all parents or carers!
