Naomi Dong Tyndall

Hello. My name is Naomi. I am from the US and I reside in Arizona. I have been teaching English online since 2016. I love meeting people and having the opportunity to have a positive influence on their lives. Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) gives me the possibility to see the world and to really get to know the people in it, as you often learn as much from your students as they do from you. I believe that being genuinely interested in people is key to being a great teacher. I have taught all ages and abilities and enjoy the variety you get in TEFL. I approach my students by being kind and supportive because happy, comfortable people learn. By being positive and encouraging I get back positivity and progress.
I aim to provide the best language learning experience not only by teaching the basics of the language but also by introducing students to different topics through conversation. Therefore, I know that my students can use their English knowledge in practice, build their conversation skills, and speak with confidence.
Communicative language teaching (CLT) is the most popular approach among the methods of teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). CLT emphasizes the student's ability to communicate in real-life contexts, and students learn to make requests, accept offers, explain things, and express their feelings and preferences through formal conversation.
