Naomi is an experienced and patient tutor, who helped my 2 sons with English Higher. She customised what they needed based upon their individual situation, so for one of them she focused on grammar and essay construction, and with the other they did a lot of work on exam practice and planning. Timing was flexible and we had the option of in-person or Zoom. Both boys achieved one grade better than they had been predicted at prelim which I am sure was due in a large part to Naomi’s support. Definitely recommend.

Naomi tutored my three daughters for Higher English. Naomi instilled an interest in the novels, plays and poems they were studying, helped with the development of their essay writing skills and ensured they were well prepared for the exam by making them familiar with the exam requirements and practicing effective approaches to dealing with these. All three were awarded an A at Higher English. Naomi has a warm, kind and patient personality and the girls all enjoyed the positive learning experience she provided.

Naomi has a natural way with teenagers, she knows how to relate to them to enable their understanding. She breaks things down in a way to enhance their confidence and to cement their learning. Both my daughters have found Naomi to be extremely engaging and she has made them feel relaxed and comfortable right from the first lesson. She has helped us with Nat 5 and Advanced Higher English and goes above and beyond to make sure they know exactly what to carry on with after each lesson, giving them the confidence to work by themselves and complete assignments. She has helped us out at very short notice and responds to any last minute questions promptly. I would definately recommend Naomi to any struggling students requiring some extra help.

I came to Naomi for help with ADVH English as I had decided to pick it up over half way through the course. I had a lot to catch up because of this so Naomi helped me plan my essays, talked me through multiple practice papers, proof read and edited my essays and helped me improve my English skills overall massively. Despite picking the course up so late, I managed to achieve a B which I definitely wouldn’t have got if it wasn’t for her help, I would 100% recommend Naomi :)
