My lessons will be organised by the identified strengths and weaknesses of the students. If a student struggles with a particular topic those lessons will be prioritised. The lesson will start with use of mind maps and diagrams to help the student visualise and comprehend the key concepts and ideas. I will present examples of techniques such as hedging used in a sentence. I will have points throughout the lesson to ensure the student understands what has been explained. In a timely manner I will expect the student to write an answer to a practice question related to the topic. Moreover, we will dismantle their answer with detailed annotations that they can screenshot. I will rewrite the answer with the student while articulating my thought process for the format of the sentence and present a cohesive and comprehensive sentence. Lastly, setting homework based on the students' personal timetable will help the student to continue revisiting particularly difficult topics. As previously mentioned if a student is struggling in another topic such as vocabulary I will allocate more than just one lesson if needed to go through essential academic- vocabulary. I want to ensure my students get those most value from my lessons, hence I will set learning objectives for each lesson.
