Hi Students!

My name is Nakia. I am an online Tutor. My passion is teaching!!

In my tutor sessions, the most important thing is that you are comfortable. I love creating a comfortable environment where we can tackle the hard topics, in an energetic, but peaceful way. Each session will be full of fun, unlimited learning, and great atmosphere! I love going to the basics of the problems that my students are having. Together, we look at the problem, and come to a reasonable solution together, to help you understand more on how to continue to understand the issue.

I have worked as an After-School Teacher, and was promoted to Lead Coordinator. I also have worked as a Tutor with Sylvan Learning and did at home tutoring with students. I have over 5 years of experience with working with children from different age ranges and assisting them with their learning. I have also worked as a Behavioral Analyst, where I worked with Autistic Children and helping them with their learning and doing daily activities.

From my experience, I have learned different techniques with working with different students. I understand that not all students learn the same way, so I make sure to incorporate different learning techniques to help my students with that. It has always been a joy to see the joy on my students faces once they realize that what they were battling with, they were able to overcome, with just understanding a different way of applying techniques.
