I use the method of repetition. A student takes information and stores it in their long term memory if they repeat methods it's like a song once listened to many time you know the lyrics without knowing it. To keep the information stored I use a method were the topic I have taught is asked again to the student without them knowing to understand how much they have remembered and how much is forgotten which is then followed by writing down what they don't know and the exact same thing is told to be written to understand how much they remember for that it is continued so they remember in maths it's usually steps I tell students to write down so in exams they can follow the steps and understand what they are doing. One mistake many students make is they have unorganised work which leads to confusion in topics such as trigonometry and geometry which has lots of step that need to be followed which is why I advise my students to have pointed notes and structure. It is important for students to do practice questions which I always have printed or copied out which gets them used to the kind of questions likely to come up. Maths is an unpredictable subject that can only be achieved with high grades if the method is understood. My classes are very free and light however if they are not learning I turn some things around so they are in a more concentrated environment
