Armed with a Bachelors degree in journalism and a 120 Hour TEFL Certification, I traveled to southern China shortly after graduating from university in 2018 and began my teaching career. Since then, I have taught hundreds of students of various ages, background, ethnicities and needs, both online and in-person, adapting my lessons and targets to meet their needs. After returning to America in 2022, I have taught ESL to high schoolers here in the USA as well. I have also earned 5 Cambridge TKT Certifications across multiple teaching areas!

I would say my best asset is that I'm an avid language learner just like you! I know what it means to want to express yourself to others in their first language, and being afraid to experiment for fear of embarrassment. What if the wrong tense is used? What happens when I understand the question but don't have the verbiage to answer? Worst of all, what if my pronunciation is so off that I unwittingly substitute an innocuous word for something terribly inappropriate?!

Rest assured, I've been there before (too many times!) and therefore know how to create lessons that will leave you feeling confident and prepared to communicate in English in our ever-connected global society, no matter your needs.
