Mya Schembri

As a tutor, I will use the strategies and techniques that helped me succeed in biology to support my students. I will encourage active participation and critical thinking, helping them to understand and solve problems on their own. I am also very involved in staying up-to-date with techniques which have been scientifically proven to help students retain and learn knowledge. I will also share practical study tips and organizational skills to improve their academic performance.

My training in medical school gives me advanced knowledge of biology and keeps me up-to-date with the latest research and discoveries. I will use this knowledge to make the subject more relatable and show students how biology applies to their everyday lives, aswell as covering any questions/topics they have particular interest in.

Communication is very important to me, and I will explain complex concepts in a clear and simple way. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I will adapt my teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student as this is super important for my students and I want them to feel as comfortable as they can be. I will provide personalized lesson plans, answer questions, and offer extra resources to help them succeed!

In summary, my strong academic background, ongoing medical training, ability to relate theory to practice, and dedication to student success make me a great choice as a biology tutor. I am confident that I can motivate and guide students towards achieving their goals in biology, we can do this!
