I myself didn’t grasp a lot when a teacher would stand at the front of a class and give directions to a whole classroom. It took a while to realise it but the best way for me to grasp a lot of what I was learning was through 1 on 1 teaching. Aside from this the curriculum can be hard to understand and with that I realised that visual learning and comparisons to real life make very complex subjects much easier to comprehend. My lesson plans will attempt to cover all the topics in the curriculum, however if a student does have specific topics they are struggling with they can state this and we can work on it there and then. My grades for maths and science were both 7/A so these are two subjects you can be confident that the help I can give to you will be very good. As for experience I have tutored a few people who have come to me struggling with their math and science for GCSE and can honestly say there has been improvements. Their key point of feedback was how much easier it is to engage with the subject when it is taught in a much more entertaining manner. As result of this, understanding the subject becomes less of a task/ intimidating and instead, something the students were now eager to learn about. I promise to put my all into aiding the student overcome any academic challenges to the best of my ability.
