Studying French or English? Looking to secure high grades in your GCSEs? For beginners wanting to begin their linguistic exploration, to students with a few years of learning wanting to brush up on some of their skills, look no further.
Having taught languages in primary and secondary schools as an auxiliary for the curriculum, as well as delivering speeches in a variety of linguistic conferences (namely the WoLLoW conference), I work towards sparking a passion for the languages. A native English speaker and an enthusiast of French with 7 years’ worth of experience of the language under my belt, I aim to utilise my knowledge to help you you become the best linguist you can be. I plan to:
- Talk with you: What level do you want to achieve? What do you aim to use your language skills for? By identifying your educational intentions, I can work with you to craft sessions that fulfil your wishes.
- Highlight areas of weakness: Rather than running through reiterations of stale content, helping you to pinpoint skills you need to strengthen will allow for more productive lesson time.
- Engage you! My worst fear is teaching a language in such a way that it puts you off the study forever. Having a two-way conversation with you removes the tutor-student divide and lets us work towards goals in a way that doesn’t drain you, but instead motivates you to keep going.
Each lesson is an hour maximum, with an overview of the session’s aims, and a lot of discussion-based learning time with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
