I started tutoring when I was at Sixth Form where I would support students from year 7-9 who were struggling in their mathematics. I have been involved in boosting their grades and preparing them for their end of year exams by providing them that extra support. Ever since then I have been eager in helping young students to reach new heights in their mathematics and become more interested in the subject. I am even more motivated to support those who are still completing their primary education as the grades that they attain there determines whether they can attend grammar schools for their secondary education. In summer 2022 I began to work at Excel Tutors where I would tutor 4 students at once from Year 3 - 11 at SATS, 11+ and GCSE level. My usual responsibilities involved setting weekly tests and aiding students in topics they were struggling in. At Excel Tutors I gained experience in making and providing mock tests for 36 students over the academic year and providing feedback to the student’s parents at parent’s evenings on what went well and how they could do better in the future. At Excel Tutors I have also been an assistant teacher for an 11+ class where I would go around helping up to 20 11+ students on questions assigned by the teacher. As a result of all my efforts I was successful in helping my students attain high grades in their GCSE's. In general I am a very organized tutor with a genuine passion for helping students excel in their studies.
