I have been teaching English and Maths for almost 15 years, so have extensive experience. Mostly on a 1 to 1 basis, but occasionally in a class setting as well.

I have taught many students successfully in the past. Some have gone on to complete qualifications like ESOL and GCSE English. Whereas others were looking for practical help as they wanted to improve their English for business or work. Most of them went on to further their careers or achieve their business goals.

I am confident working with all ages from people aged 6 to 60, but most of my students have been teenagers, young adults and adults.

I like to teach according to the needs of the student. I adapt my teaching method depending on whether a student requires help with comprehension, writing, or speaking. If the student wants to improve their speaking then I focus on real world situations they may come across in daily life. Whereas if the student requires assistance with studying for a particular course like GCSE English then I will focus on the syllabus material.

I expect students to be punctual, committed and passionate about their study. Students should also be honest about their shortcomings or anything they don't understand. If the student pretends to understand when they really don't this only leads to a delay in their progress and development.

The more effort a student is willing to exert, the easier the whole process becomes. The progress of the student depends upon both my skills as a teacher and their willingness to learn.
