I am an outstanding advanced skills Art & Design and Design & Technology Teacher. I have qualified teacher status and was previously a Head of Department, a sixth form tutor and a nominated member of a high level innovative educational advisory group. I am also a professional artist with 35+ yrs as a creative & 12yrs industry and exhibiting experience. My area of expertise lies in secondary level to A-Level but I also have much experience of working with Primary as a Youth University Tutor, a special needs assistant and as a freelance workshop facilitator.

I am able to teach lessons at any Key Stage from scratch or to enhance you or your child's existing learning or schooling via a support and tutorial package. At advanced level I can conduct portfolio review, mentor and instruct on how to create a high level project in either Art Design or Design & Technology format. If you need examination advise I can also competently guide you or your child through this. I am a published educational author who contributed to the most recent GCSE revision guide for CGP Product Design workbooks. In addition I am able to review and assist with both scholarship and UCAS applications having worked with students on these many times.

I can coach on the full spectrum of Art & Design specialisms including: Fine Art, Printmaking, Photography, Digital Art, Design or Ceramics. And I am a specialist in 3D Design, Sculpture, Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Graphic Products, Electronics, Machines and Materials.

I can tutor in artistic techniques & skills development including but not exclusive to mixed media use, painting and drawing techniques and composition, artwork or design annotation, evaluation, portfolio preparation and presentation, examinations, homework understanding, subject extension and advanced creativity and technique in all areas of both subjects.
