Mr Steven Clarke

I like to teach through conversation and am very good at making the lessons fun and productive for the students. In consultation with the student, I suggest a topic for each lesson. Perhaps shopping or food, or favourite films or books, or many other topics. I am very flexible. I find that having a topic gives focus to the lesson and allows the student to advance their skills in English, and also to learn something fun and useful about something new.
My teaching experience is wide ranging. I have taught English as a second language, but I have also taught film students about story telling and narrative techniques, as I have spent many years as a documentary director.
