Legal experience

I am currently a tutor on Employment Law (Level 3), Business Law (Level 4) Introduction to Criminal Law (Level 3) and AQA GCSE A Level Law.

BA (Hons) Open (Open) in legal subjects. I satisfied the regulations for completing a qualifying law degree but to keep my options open I chose an Open Degree. My specialist option was Employment Law.

Professional Membership – I was admitted to The Chartered Institute of Legal Executive as a Member in 1997. I have been on the committee of OLMG previously CILEx Oxfordshiire and I am currently Acting Chair. This involves organizing events and taking a lead across the three branches of the Legal Profession.

I have completed stand-alone diplomas with The Institute in Employment Law,

I am also a student member of The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and actively involved in attending events and networking.

While I did not fully qualify as a lawyer, I have used my legal qualification to my advantage in a number of Quasi Legal Roles.

These include acting as a union representative for a number of years and a chair of reps for one year and taking on a number of cases representing staff in a substantial Housing Association.

Acting as a Lead Champion on the Safeguarding Committee with particular responsibility for mental capacity.

Acting as a Data Protection Lead for a small charity enabling them to set up a fundraising team.

Currently a Data Protection Lead for a Parish of 5 churches.
