I've developed my own style over the years, which is friendly, patient, encouraging and informal. This makes the lessons much more enjoyable for everyone (including me!).
Please note that I offer all subjects at KS2 level, including Maths, 11-Plus, SATs and School Entrance examination preparation, as well as French, Geography and History. (The registration form would only permit me to list a single subject.)
I probably find Maths the most rewarding: it's so rewarding to have a nervous, shy student who gradually feels more comfortable until we have the "Eureka" moment when they finally "get it"! At this point my owl (Wol) is likely to give a "congatulatory hoot"!
A word of warning: I'm considerably older than my photo on my website - in fact, I've just become an OAP! - but I still have the same smile and sense of humour, and still adore cats! If you look at the photo on the website and are confused (my friend Kelly and I both had ginger "fur" and "whiskers" at the time, but I'm the one wearing glasses!
