As an A-Level student at a competitive grammar school, I am fully aware of the hard work that it takes in order to achieve high grades. I can use this insightful knowledge to my students to help them unlock their full potential. The typical lesson plan would to be an interactive explanation through videos, anecdotes or whiteboard work of whatever topic that the student is struggling on and afterwards go through a range of multiple choice and exam style questions to consolidate the understanding. This is a technique that I’ve found extremely useful not only for myself but for the other students that I’ve tutored. Time permitting, the end of the lesson will be a time for the student to present me with any homework questions that they are struggling with.
