Are you looking to boost your GCSE Chemistry grades?
I'm Monique and I achieved an A* in GCSE Chemistry, and a level 6 in the International Baccalaureate at sixth form. I am passionate about helping students not only exceed in their exams but also helping them truly understand the subject. While I may be new to tutoring, I have solid experience mentoring people at work, where I guide them step-by-step through processes, explaining complex systems and helping them grow in confidence.
I like to start by teaching the fundamentals of GCSE Chemistry breaking down concepts so they are easier to grasp. I believe this lays a good foundation for more complex concepts to be understood. My lessons are designed to be interactive, flexible, and focused on your individual learning style.
Lesson format:
1. Initial assessment: We will initially discuss and identify areas you are confident in and areas where extra support is needed.
2. Planning and setting goals: Each session will have a clear structure, starting with a review of key concepts and building towards problem-solving and exam-style questions. I like to use varied methods of learning such as problem sheets, mini quizzes, and example exam questions.
3. Progress tracking: I will keep track of your progress to ensure we are hitting the learning goals and will revisit topics to consolidate learning.
I encourage active participation. There will be opportunities to ask questions, revisit topics, work through problems together, and explain ideas back to me to solidify your understanding.
I focus on the student's needs and can adapt my teaching style to suit them. I can communicate effectively and patiently support learners until they feel confident.
