I have been a high school classroom teacher for 7 years teaching English and history to students aged I have spent the last year and a half teaching KS3 English and introducing GCSE English to these students.
I have experience tutoring students from years 5-11 in English, History and Studies of Religion as well as helping them develop confidence in their ability to write and to prepare themselves for study. I teach creative writing, sentence and paragraph structure, vocabulary, spelling and grammar, editing skills as well as critical thinking, analysis and comprehension. If you are learning it in English, I am able to help you with it.

I have worked with students with ADHD and anxiety and feel confident in working with these students and understanding and supporting their learning needs.

In order for students develop their skills we will go through classwork and complete homework activities together, I will also supplement a students learning with my own tasks, these are created based on a students individual needs/goals/topic.

I and am passionate about students feeling more prepared and confident in their abilities. I am a peaceful, happy presence and create a relaxed workspace where questions are encouraged.
I ask that students bring their own work to begin with (this is something that can continue) and talk to me about their goals and individual challenges/concerns/areas for improvement so we ensure the learning has intent. I can also provide more supplementary material if required, once I understand your specific learning needs/areas. I am flexible in my approach and will happily work to your needs, I will note that I am not an authoritarian and believe in an expert-led collaborative approach.
