I believe it is of upmost importance to first build a rapport and gain an understanding of my students lifestyle, interests, goals and their learning style because I understand that everyone is different and it’s important to work together to come up with a personalised plan that will be effective and get the results you want.

Lessons would be held online and involve recaps, summaries of topics and creative question / answers quizzes and games to reinforce learning as I understand from learning about how human memory works, that it is best to learn smaller chunks of information over a period of time and go over learning repeatedly to ensure concepts are retained in your long term memory.

It is also important that learning is engaging and adapted to the individuals preferred learning style so I aim to work closely with the student to understand their needs and what works best for them.

I understand that studying can be extremely stressful, mentally and emotionally draining. Particularly when you have other responsibilities such as work, caring responsibilities and relationships while balancing demands of everyday life and looking after your own well-being.

This is why I want to help support students and be there to provide support that I never had while I was studying. I believe it is so important to have a support system while studying, particularly someone who has been there and understands how hard it can be.
