I believe in quality teaching that includes first checking the knowledge of the student how much they about the topic which will be discussed and by asking few qus i try to take students to introduce the topic themselves then i start with story so that curiosity increases and i introduces the chapter meanwhile i ask qus to make sure student is attentive and at end ask student to tell what are the points they liked in the chapter.
