I have been tutoring throughout my own schooling and have found that learning in a more privatised setting has been the most effective in my students’ improvement.
My experience ranges from literacy programmes from ages 13 and up to academic work groups within my university studies. I also am very comfortable teaching in a 1-1 setting, providing a more personal form of tutoring.
I like to help my students find their own writing style and avoid emphasis on formulaic work, something that in my experience proves better results in examinations in the highest grade boundaries.
Scoring a D2 (A**) in my English Literature Pre-U, I have first hand experience of the type of feedback most common in higher level essay writing, with most focus on unique opinions and voice in essays.
As a result, my lessons are far more personalised and focus on my students personal ability and preference- expanding wider and genuine interest in the subject whilst also achieving the highest marks possible.
