Hello, and welcome to my online tutoring profile! I am a Chemistry expert with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a wealth of experience in the field. I have worked as a qualified science teacher in secondary schools for 4 years, as a Research & Development Chemist for a global decorative paint company for 6 years, and have been an online tutor for the past 3 years. My passion for teaching Chemistry began at the age of 15 when my science teacher challenged me to improve my grades. I taught myself from a CGP revision guide and fell in love with the subject, even teaching my friends during lunch breaks. Seeing them improve their grades from an F to a C was incredibly rewarding, and I knew then that I had a natural gift for teaching others and passing on my knowledge. I find it extremely fulfilling to inspire young people to explore the fascinating world of science and love seeing my students gain confidence in the subject during our lessons!
My lessons are structured like a 3-course menu, designed to engage and challenge you at every step. We’ll start with a Starter, where I’ll introduce the subject we’ll be learning and assess your prior knowledge. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to tailor the lesson to your needs. Next, we’ll move on to the Main course, where we’ll dive into the new concepts and explore them in depth. I’ll ask you lots of questions to test your understanding and help you build a strong foundation in the subject. Finally, we’ll finish with Dessert, where we’ll apply what you’ve learned to exam-style questions and see how much you’ve really absorbed. This is the fun part, where you get to show off your knowledge and see how far you’ve come!
