I often use an interactive whiteboard or screen that both myself and my students are able to access, I would show handwritten working out and solutions to problems using this. I use personalised worksheets and activities that accommodate all ages and specialise in specific topics of Maths, these worksheets can either be shown on a screen for students to answer in their own workbooks or they can be sent to students for them to print off and complete, depending on their preference. In an hour long lesson, ideally the first 20-30 minutes would be me teaching the content in depth for the student to understand including numerous worked examples ranging in difficulty, followed by the next 30 minutes of question answering where the student is able to ask for help throughout. If there if time left after allocating homework, this would be filled by student requests where students can let me know what other topics they don’t understand and wish to go though in future lessons. I tend to plan my lessons around my students requests and prefer not to insist on teaching in curriculum order (unless necessary) as some of the topics i go through may already be understood by students and time would be wasted. I have tutoring experience having been a Private tutor for almost 2 years specialising in Mathematics and teaching students aged 8-17, helping them to excel in school and providing them with the adequate level of knowledge so that students can show-off to their teachers and grow a liking to Mathematics.
