My experience is that I have done and taught the GCSE content recently and have been predicted high grades. I have tutored my peers and I am able to understand, apply and teach the subject terminology and content. I am also excellent with communcating and adapting lessons for others which is vital for teaching others. My lessons are usually using a powerpoint revolving around the specification or exam questions. The powerpoints are usually basic ideas and answers which i build on through annotations - this allows me to slowly build up the ideas. I usually will teach whole topics at once but split the ideas from the basic into numbered levels. However, if someone does not understand I will try my best to apply the content in a way that they will understand especially when it comes to more difficult topics e.g. electromagnetism in GCSE triple physics. Depending on the tutee's understanding I will change the amount of student interaction e.g. if they do not know much I will not ask questions they will not be able to answer but if they do know I will test them to try to cement information and improve their subject terminology. The dynamics of my lessom are usually that I will present information that the student will take in and make notes and then they regurgitate that information through tests. If the tutee has any struggle understanding or with the subject I will always try to fix that first before trying to force their way through. When close to exams I can also prepare resources & can give quick crash courses to go over main parts of the topics & gloss over more detailed but low mark parts.
