Initially I like to ask students what they would like to gain out of the tutoring experience. If for self study or for help with examinations.
Secondly I ask students if there are any topics in particular they are struggling with or ones that they have specific interest in. From there I ask students what they are looking from these lessons and form a plan.

If a student is struggling with all topics, I begin from the beginning and use real world examples to show how Physics is applicable. I challenge students to consider “what if” scenarios to really challenge their Physics understanding.
Alongside this I will assign homework questions and extra resources such as YouTube videos for interest and or additional help.
After a solid understanding is solidified across various topics, past papers are the best to study with and during the lessons I will use various past paper questions to help students get used to the format and level of difficulty of the questions. Alongside this any solutions I provide will have in-depth explanations for what I did and why I did it, the logic behind each step and will include common pitfalls. Additionally all my lessons with the student will be recorded so the students can access them later if so needed. I will also be available through email to help a student with any other means.
When I was young I struggled with Physics a lot, however I had two things. Determination and great interest within the subject, with enough self study I was able to solidify my Physics understanding and as a result decided to pursue it at university. I would love to help students understand and appreciate the beauty of Physics, I understand how and where students can trip up and I am very patient.
