From my experience I believe a great teacher is well-versed in their subject and passionate about teaching. They have the ability to explain concepts in a way that students can understand and relate to. They use a variety of methods to engage their students and create a safe, inclusive environment for learning. They are patient, open-minded, and understanding of different learning styles. Above all, they strive to inspire their students by creating a positive, engaging learning environment and fostering an enthusiasm for learning.
I hope that students choose me to be their teacher because I genuinely care about their success and well-being. I believe that all students have the potential to learn and grow, and I strive to create a safe, respectful and encouraging learning environment in all classes I teach. I am passionate about helping my students reach their fullest potential, whether it be in the classroom, at home and/or within their community. I am more than willing to provide them with the support and guidance they need. This could include extra one-to-one time and providing resources outside of class to assist with their learning.
I am also aware of and respectful of the students’ individual backgrounds, needs, and interests. I am devoted to making sure that all of my students are given equal opportunities, regardless of their prior knowledge or skills.
Ultimately, my goal is for all of my students to achieve success through working hard, performing to their best capabilities.
