As a British born native speaker I have over 8 years of teaching experience which includes ESOL (UK) as well as ESL- teaching abroad and online which includes valuable takeaways such as language development, critical thinking and academic writing skills. The 4 key skills were in English I have taught also, these are reading, writing, listening and speaking. My time in teaching in the UK, as well as abroad and online included teaching students as young as 4 to as old as 40, producing lesson plans, creating my own resources, building rapport with students, implementing the use of IT, learning the Saudi culture and performing admin tasks. It also involved valuable takeaways such as language development, critical thinking and academic writing skills. I have taught ESL to students which had granted me even more wealth of experience on the online spectrum using online platforms.

You will note from my educational background that I am educated to degree level that is BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing). Furthermore, I am TEFL Certified (120 hours) in which I obtained different skills to be able to teach effectively.

In 2020, I taught ESL online to students from Saudi Arabia due to the pandemic. This had granted me even more wealth of experience on the online spectrum. I had gained a lot of insight into how online platforms operate which translated into a lot of experience in teaching online. I was teaching a class of up to 50 students via Blackboard and Zoom. This was challenging but I managed to handle it well as students were being engaged because of my energetic persona and as I have a creative personality when teaching. As I am computer literate, these mediums have been easy to use, and with my creativity I have implemented them in ways that my students have taken benefit from my lessons.
