I have over 30 years of teaching experience in the professional sector and private tuition sector, teaching students of all learning abilities and levels.

Since 2001, I have taught KS3 and KS4 Maths and was rated 'good' by Ofsted on a number of occasions, as well as 'outstanding' on one occasion.

I take importance in getting to know my student (their skillset/ability) in order to help them achieve their study goals. The teaching style I use the majority of the time as a private tutor is the demonstrator style. Aligning my teaching method to each individual student and their individual learning method helps the student to reach their goals quicker.

Furthermore, I believe that keeping a good rapport with the parents of my students is important to ensure that my student is comfortable and happy with me as their tutor.

I also understand the importance of encouraging students to aspire for higher grades, motivating them to work harder to exceed their best ability. This has helped many of my students achieve more than they previously thought possible.

I am particularly successful in advancing the grades of students with learning difficulties.

Finally, I have extensive knowledge of the Edexcel and AQA Exam boards.
