I teach using visuals and audio materials to make it easier for my students to learn.
- the student watch, listen and familiarise themselves to the the sounds of the language, and gradually learn the accents, pronunciation of words.
I also use situational context, which allows students to easily learn the basic vocabulary required to communicate, understand and function in a particular situation or industry.
- Through this method they learn words to build their vocabulary.
Then comes the practicals where they practice speaking the language. My method here, is that I present the student with a scenario and they develop a story around that to assist them in practicing the language
The training for Adults is similar but slower considering it takes adults longer to learn languages.
- I use same methodology above but for adults I make them practice over and over again the same scenarios exchanged over a period of time. This allows the participants to begin to memorise the words and relate to same words in different circumstances or situations as is required.
