I am a biomedical science university student looking to teach GCSE Maths!
In my lessons, I will go through topics that my students find difficult, or I will go through topics in the order they are taught to my students in school. This allows my students to get extra help on topics while they are fresh in their minds. I will explain the theory behind the chosen topic and then go through example questions relating to the topic to show my students how to answer questions. We will then go through some questions together, step-by-step. This will allow my students to practise the technique required to solve the questions in a guided manner. If my student feels confident, I will give them a question for them to solve with less input from me. Don't worry if you find answering questions without assistance difficult! I will always offer my assistance when my students need it! My students are welcome (and urged!) to ask any questions at any point during our lessons.
As I have sat my GCSEs, I will also give my students tips on exam technique and efficient ways to answer questions in exam papers when there is limited time. I am happy to teach both foundation level and higher level maths.
For my GCSEs, I studied the Edexcel exam board curriculum, however as the maths curriculum is quite universal across exam boards, I am happy to teach other exam boards as well!
