I aim to provide students with the skills and knowledge to get them where they need to be and achieve their goals in the most engaging way I can using their feedback. I will use a combination of visual and audible content from various sources to gather a wealth of knowledge around the subjects and explain them with great enthusiasm.
Education/qualifications:
MSc degree Toxicology - currently studying at the University of Birmingham
BSc degree Forensic Science - 2:1 at De Montfort university
Level 3 Btec in Applied Science - Triple distinction
GCSEs - A's - C's
Experience:
I have worked with De Montfort university in researching the potentially harmful components of dental products using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy which sparked my interest in toxicology and providing me with extra curricular experience that my peers didn't gain from the course alone.
Upon completing my undergraduate degree I started to work for a company called Randox Laboratories as a PCR analyst where I was promoted to regional lab manager within 1 month. In this role I gained invaluable industry experience on how to efficiently run a lab to ISO/IEC 17025 (UKAS) and ISO 15189 standards, H&S procedures, risk assessments, lab cleanliness, produce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and held interviews. Therefore, I know what skills employers are looking for as well as tips, things to avoid and how potential employees should approach interviews.
