I have been a private tutor for over 5 years and am confident that I can help students learn and build their basics from ground up. I adapt according to the students need and am incredibly patient with them. Over my tenure of teaching I make study plans for each student and focus on the areas that need more attention. Encouraging the student can help them in building confidence and increase their interest in learning new things. Challenging them to step into difficulties without fear is something I always help my students in. I also keep in conformance to the school curriculum so that the student does not feel over burdened.
Keeping in mind the pace of the student is also very important and making them practice so that they dont forget what they have learnt so far. Timely revisions are also stressed upon. I like to hand out worksheets with mixed questions so that they build problem solving capabilities. Apart from this I ask students to take tests with me so that I can understand how well they are learning the things that I teach them.
Building a rapport with students makes learning fun and introducing them to new concepts to broaden the horizons of their knowledge is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. I discourage scolding students or expressing disappointment so that they dont feel uncomfortable with me.
I take the time to get to know the student so that they are comfortable with approaching me with any difficulties.
