I use time tested and proven strategies to make my lessons more efficient. This includes things such as active learning, spaced repetition and the Pomodoro technique. This helps to keep the lesson engaging and fun. On top of that I keep my lessons short to 1 hour each because that way the content sinks in and this prevents the student from being distracted. I also implement a small break halfway through the lesson as this has been shown to help with focus. Most of my lessons will be online and this is also great for students because they will not have to travel and can learn from the comfort of their own home.

As a tutor, I like to be friendly and welcoming to all my students. I would like to make the distinction that I am their private tutor and not their class teacher so whatever issues they cannot consult with their teachers, they can discuss with me. As my main subject is maths, I heavily focus on understanding on the fundamentals and going over practice questions.

Due to my engineering background and experience with tutoring before, I am familiar with teaching this subject to a very high level. I have taught many students on a platform called MyTutor and they have all benefited greatly under my tutelage. Maths is a subject that many students find intimidating but with the correct guidance and hard work, it is possible for every student to excel. I believe in providing the best education for every child out there.
