I have roughly 9 years experience in academia including teaching and research. I always teach students based on their level and their needs. I have comprehensive module for instance to learn about research methods and R programming as well as the technical practice and its assigments. I always believe that learning anything, such as data skills and research, is kind of like having a gym membership. You'll be given state-of-the-art equipment to use and instructions for how to use them, but your data skills won't get any stronger unless you practice. So, my class would be not only theoritical but also practical because practice makes perfect.
