My belief: the best possible growth takes place through positively stimulating practical tasks, where children are happy and motivated to want to learn. I have delivered lessons to meet pupil’s needs and improve pupil outcomes using assessment for learning. This has helped inform future planning; identifying how teaching can be improved to support, or challenge further, and to set appropriate individual targets. During my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to work with pupils with additional and special educational needs. My role has involved adapting the work I have set to a level of understanding at which the child could access the curriculum, and therefore aim to reach end of year attainment goals. I did this by producing adapted resources to meet the needs of the child, worked with them 1:1 to give tailored support, and used concrete resources to promote their understanding. As a teacher, I have a strong commitment to creating parental partnerships, which I believe help to build a trusting and welcoming environment for children. I have nurtured such relationships both online and in person. Teaching, and the desire to learn new things have always been strong passions of mine. I would therefore, like to work in a rewarding position where I can share, and promote an enjoyment in learning by fostering a love for education as a tutor. I have consistently shown a commitment to raise achievement across the whole age and ability range. I have received praise from both colleagues and parents for my work.
