Lessons are done in 1-2 hour chunks on video call, with flexible timing. I will provide some homework after lessons, usually between 1-3 hours of homework weekly depending on your progress. Additionally, I can help you with any school work/other math related work you bring to lessons or email me.

In the first few lessons, we'll chat a bit and determine your level in maths. No tests or anything, just talking a bit and working through some questions together. I will also ask you what areas of math you like, dislike and want to work on. After this I will design a study plan for you to help you get your desired grade/achieve any other goals. I will share this study plan with you and walk you through it to see if you like it and are up to doing it.

During lessons I will teach you theory and formulae by solving problems, so that you understand how the theory and formulae work/ how to prove them and what situations/ questions you'd use them for. By learning maths this way, you'll learn to recognise the types of questions thrown at you in the exam hall and link them to stuff you already know. I will put time pressure on you in certain lessons to help develop your exam technique. There will also be lessons devoted to exam techniques and how to solve questions faster.

I enjoy helping students study for exams and develop study skills, as I know it can be difficult to prepare by yourself. I also enjoy sharing the achievement of my student's good grade, as it is in my opinion one of the most satisfying things in life. A job done well. If you have any internal school examination (non exam board based like GCSE or A-level) you can also come to me and I can help. Additionally you can ask me for any study materials and I will gladly email them to you and run through them in lessons.
