The format of my lessons includes us going through the topics, with me asking questions along the way and filling in the blanks if you don’t know the answer. I often use labels on diagrams for this. Afterwards I follow up with exam questions. The format of my lessons includes us going through the topics, with me asking questions along the way and filling in the blanks if you don’t know the answer. I often use labels on diagrams for this. Afterwards I follow up with exam questions. If students have homework questions we may start with those and then continue with research methods, after which we move on to topics chosen by the student. My sessions are very flexible and easily adapted to the students needs and I spend lots of time beforehand making sure this is possible. If there was a certain way a student wanted to learn then of course I can change my normal ways.
I have experience in teaching both GCSE and A level psychology with students coming to me working from an E up to a B, so my lessons ofcourse will vary depending on the type of help needed or the speed in which we go through topics. All of which can be adjusted as we go along. I also have the potential of joining a tutoring business and tutoring people who are at degree level as I have just completed my degree in clinical psychology with a first class honours and would love to use my skills I have learnt to help someone else.
I hope to offer informative but entertaining lessons with the aim to also build a relationship with the student; which being 21 is easier to do as we are of similar age. I think it is important to have a positive relationships as
believe this enhances outcomes of learning.
