Mimi El Azizi

I possess a BA degree in French Literature from Kings College, University of London and a PGCE in French from the Institute of Education University of London. I also spent 6 months in Paris at the Institut Britannique, immersed in the French language. My lessons are importantly tailored to the needs and requirements of my individual students as well as their personal preferences. They are consistently fun and dynamic to ensure an immersive and enjoyable learning experience. I use a multitude of materials that I diversify and bring to life so as to engage the learner and encourage language retention and fast progress. I concentrate on whichever medium the student prefers (whether speaking, listening, writing or reading) and am able to teach to all levels and preferences. I have a good sense of humour and make sure the materials I use varied and specifically realistic and engaging to allow for a subversive and natural learning experience rather than a static or antiquated ‘learning by rote’ technique. This may include video format, newspapers, music or basic literature or my own worksheets that I create for the individual according to their goals and ambitions. I have always loved the French language and this comes through in my teaching and encourages a similar passion for French. I listen to the learner’s goals and reasons for wanting to learn French and take this on board when planning my lessons to allow for the ultimate enjoyment of their learning experience and maximum and time efficient progress.
