I love to have fun! I enjoy practical learning as much as possible where we can collaboratively discuss the learning. I find that learning comes best when there is interaction from both the teacher and the learner. This may look like retrieval practice, debates, modeling (I do, we do & you do) and short & snappy meaningful and memorable learning experiences. I find if teachers fall into "lecturing" and over modelling this becomes very unengaging for the learner. If we try the learning together and have a running commentary of verbal feedback to address misconceptions then that is when real learning takes place! By doing this, over time the learner will grow in confidence and independence. This is because the learning becomes meaningfully embedded and unlocks the potential to build securely in prior knowledge. My lessons will be interactive with lots of verbal feedback to challenge you further.
